2024 Astral Calendars have landed! 🔮
2024 Astral Calendars are in the shop now 💫
These are the ideas & dreams woven within it…
🌀 The wonder that’s most visible from stillness and slowness. The spirit tucked into a snail shell, encompassing gentleness. The spiral symbolising endless journeys within, and outside ourselves.
🌀 As always, remembering that all of the atoms in our bodies were created through the fusion of stars. Remembering where we came from. Remembering the grand scale of being and the miracle of existence.
🌀 May all the above open our hearts. May our own hearts find their centre. May this ripple outwards. May we cultivate peace and allow it to be contagious.
They are printed on @poopoopaper and mailed out in a few days' time. Cultivating slowness also includes slower sustainable printing processes too. And elephant poo paper is the shit. I’ve decided to keep prices the same as they’ve been for the last 4 years. I’ve printed less this year, so if you'd like one, please grab one while they're around.
I wish for stillness and peace, because conflict is more apparent, and more painful to witness than ever. I’m sat in paradise and safety. But to see beyond our separateness, is to feel the unbearable pain of others too. This year’s artwork is a wish for peace. And that despite our differences, that our unifying hope, is for a ceasefire, and for safety for all. All humans.
I struggle with speaking about creations and marketing when there’s conflict like there is clearly shown over on our screens. It doesn’t feel right. And I’m not pretending that I drew all of this from a peaceful place. These wishes come from seeing what’s missing. This feels like the time to dig through the layers of discomfort hiding the heart. Love is at the centre. Love is always at the centre. And may it speak loudly from the centre. Through art, through words, through all connection. May next year be a cycle of calm and clarity. and enough stillness to give time to watch all the phenomenal meteor showers and sky shows. and marvel at the beauty of the natural world and moonrises in the desert. And may something change, and these conflicts finally stop 🤍
