Sitting around the hearth

Sitting amongst others hearts

As the fire says-

Until we melt the walls around our hearts

We cannot find the warmth in our own

Why wrap the gold of the soul

In a thick protective layer ?

Because thankfully the hard walls

Kept our fragility protected

Until it was safe to be held gently

The healing is behind the wound

Once we awake to what’s inside

We see the medicine we’ve always had inside from birth

And that we can turn walls into gold

With a bit of rethreading…

With a bit of older skin shedding

With a bit of lighter treading

And seeing that all we need for peace, already exists within.
