Astral calendar 2025 - Listening to the Blue 💫

Showing the moon phases, meteor showers, eclipses and visible planets throughout 2024.

Printed in northern thailand on Elephant Poo Paper - a sustainable paper source made from 85% elephant poo and 15% recycled paper. A3 size. Each piece is uniquely different, and the specks on the paper have all once passed through an elephant. This is my all time favourite paper, and each one holds a little piece of Northern Thai magic.

This year I only have a limited number of these, and there will be no re-prints as i like to print on slow-made sustainable paper. Elephant poo printing methods aren’t instant!

🌀 The blue whale is a symbol of grace and interconnection. The blue whale's history of near extinction and subsequent recovery gives hope for the future of our world.

🌀 The deep ocean is least most explored part of our planet. There is still secrets and wisdom, and opportunities for change, that we haven’t yet discovered. We are yet to learn how to communicate with the underwater world.

🌀 The ocean being feminine. There is still gender inequality in the world, with research often favouring the masculine. The ocean is still a mystery to us. Perhaps with more connection to the water world, or more connection to the Yin and feminine archetype, the other will have more harmony. In Chinese culture, whales are associated with the concept of yin and yang, depicting balance and harmony between opposing forces

🌀 As always, remembering that all of the atoms in our bodies were created through the fusion of stars. Remembering where we came from. Remembering the grand scale of being and the miracle of existence. And perspective. That we are born from miracles, yet also, just a tiny dot in existence.
